Coffee and cakes will be on offer across the town this morning as groups and organisations celebrate the world’s biggest coffee morning.
Cake lovers are being invited to attend one – or all of – the events being held today as part of efforts to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Care.
Events are being held across Borehamwood, including one being run by PCSO Sam O’Grady in Aberford Community Hall from 9am to 12.30pm.
She said: “We are feeling competitive and want to raise as much money as possible to help the cancer charity. Everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer and it is only by supporting charities, like Macmillan, that we can help save more lives.”
Other events will be held throughout the day, including one at Organ Hall and one at the Sunrise Senior Living care home, in Edgwarebury Lane.
Pharmaceutical company Alium Medical is also inviting business to attend their coffee morning from 10am at Delta Court, Manor Way, in the hope of encouraging companies to be more proactive with charity fundraisers.
