An exhibition that celebrated a centenary of filmmaking has now been packed away into storage.

After more than 1,500 people passed through its doors, the film display at the Elstree and Borehamwood Museum is now safely packed away in Elstree Studios after its three-month run in the museum came to an end last week.

Comments in the visitor’s book have praised the informative display, with comments including: “What a shame you didn’t have a bigger venue in which to show the wonderful history of the iconic cherished studios. Take note.”

From October 4, the museum will stage an exhibition to mark the 75th Anniversary of the opening of Hillside School in Borehamwood.
