An appeal has been launched against a council decision to refuse plans for electronic gates at a road in Shenley.
Plans for a set of electronic security gates at the entrance to Old Nursery Close, off London Road, were initially refused by Hertsmere Borough Council over fears they could create issues over segregation in the community.
Planning technician Veronica Du Plessis also states that the gates would fail to maintain the ‘openness’ that Green Belt land requires.
However developers have now `launched an appeal against the decision.
