An appeal to build a new house in part of an existing garden has been thrown out by planning inspectors.
The plans, which were submitted to Hertsmere Borough Council in early 2013, were for a new two-bedroom house to the side of an end of terrace home in Grace Close, Borehamwood.
Original plans were refused last November due to concerns over the impact on residents and a lack of car parking facilities; however an appeal was launched against this decision.
Planning inspector Sarah Stevens has now dismissed the appeal, reinforcing issues raised over the original application.
