An upcoming amateur production has received a much-needed funding boost of £250.
Elstree Productions Theatre Company received £250 from the council to aid their efforts for production of 'A Slice of Saturday Night' at the Radlett Centre.
The amateur dramatics company plans to use the money to hire microphones to ensure the show is a big success.
Council leader Morris Bright, who awarded the funding, said: "I am an avid supporter of the performing arts in all its many forms and am sure that the production company will put on a great show."
Funding comes from Hertfordshire County Council's ward improvement initiative scheme, which provides every councillor in the borough with funds to grant to local projects.
Helen Claydon, a member of the company, said: "We're very grateful to have been allocated the funding by Councillor Bright. We are looking forward to staging the production which is a really fun show based in a 1960s nightclub.
“We hope it will be a real success.”
