A developer hoping to build four new houses in Borehamwood has had his appeal dismissed.

A planning inspector dismissed an appeal for the demolition of a garage and rear extension in Northfield Road to make way for four detached houses and two garages.

The inspector stated that the appeal had been thrown out due to the plans' negative impact on the character of the surrounding area.

It was also added that access would affect road safety, as two cars would not be able to pass each other which could lead to vehicles reversing onto Northfield Road.
