A prolific burglar has been sentenced to 39 months in prison for a series of robberies.
David Potter, of Welwyn Garden City, was arrested by police in June after he committed 32 burglaries across Borehamwood, Barnet, Welwyn Garden City and Potters Bar.
Potter had been placed on the C2 programme, which gives prolific offenders a chance to turn their lives around, but had damaged his tag and went missing before his arrest for the robberies.
Detective Inspector Craig Flint, who is charge of the C2 Programme, said: “As part of the strict conditions of C2 he had to admit all his past offending, which enabled us to ensure that any victims of these previously unsolved crimes know that someone has been identified as responsible and has been brought to justice. And he has since admitted to the subsequent burglaries. This sentence means he is off the streets of Hertfordshire and unable to continue committing crime.”
Mr Potter was sentenced at St Albans Crown Court this week, and will serve more than three years in prison.
