The deadline for people to sign up to a scheme which could help them save hundreds of pounds on their energy bills has been extended.
Householders now have until January 28 to sign up to the collective switching scheme, launched by Hertfordshire County Council.
Under the new project, the county council will negotiate on behalf of those signed up to the scheme to get the best deal on their gas and electricity, saving people up to £200.
The council is one of 16 local authorities signed up to the scheme and it hopes it will be an effective way for people to save money on energy bills without having to talk to suppliers individually.
