One celebrity will lift high the glitterball trophy tonight at Elstree Studios as the curtain falls on the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing

BBC Breakfast presenter Susanna Reid, model Abbey Clancy, singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor and actress Natalie Gumede are the final four in the closest fought competition yet.

In the first programme, the four celebrity contestants and their professional dance partners will perform two routines each – a showdance and the judges' choice.

The second instalment will see one pair eliminated immediately via the public vote.

The three remaining couples will then perform their favourite dance from the series in a bid to win the glitterball trophy.

Despite being the least polished dancer, liable to lose control and achieving the second lowest score in last week’s semi final, Ms Reid is the favourite to win the competition.

The judges have asked her to dance a quickstep to Tommy Steele's Good Morning. She will follow that up with a showdance to Your Song by Ewan MacGregor.

If she gets through to the second show, she and partner Kevin Clifton will dance their favourite, the paso doble to Carmen's Los Toreadors.

Footballer’s wife Abbey Clancey has improved dramatically throughout the series as well as scoring perfect 40s, she is a popular favourite.

The judges’ choice for her and partner Aijaz Skorjanec will be the waltz to Kissing You by Des'ree, followed by a showdance to Sweet Child of Mine by Guns N Roses.

If she gets to the final three, they will dance the quickstep to Walking on Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves.

After a shaky start and being called “stiff and cold”, Sophie Ellis-Bextor seems to have found her form.

The singer, who has never yet been in a dance off, is third favourite to win, but she will be hoping her Charlston will save her.

The judges' choice for her and partner Brendan Cole  is a Viennese Waltz to My Favourite Things by Julie Andrews, and her showdance will be I Wanna Dance with Somebody by Whitney Houston.

If she gets to the final three, they will dance the Charleston to Rock It for Me by Caravan Palace.
The best dancer by far is Ms Gumede, who has never been less than technically perfect.

However her sheer skill has made her unpopular with the public, so if the final is a popularity contest she will lose.

The judges’ choice for her and partner Artem Chigvintsev will be the cha cha to Boney M's Rasputin, followed by a showdance to Steppin' Out with My Baby by Christina Aguilera and Tony Bennett.

If she gets through to the final three, she will stake her claim to the trophy by performing an American Smooth to Jennifer Hudson's And I'm Telling You, I'm Not Going.
