Volunteers are needed to lend a hand and help the town's museum move to its new home.

Elstree and Borehamwood Museum, in Drayton Road, will be moving to a new community centre in Shenley Road next year.

But they are looking for people to help them move the masses of history books and old photographs.

Peter Stokes, who has been a volunteer with the museum for around five years, said: “We need volunteers and the more the merrier – it would be great if as many people as possible contacted us to help with our move.”

Last week, the museum was handed a £70,000 grant from the council to help with the big move.
