Woman 'thrilled to pieces' as missing cat found up tree

A woman is “thrilled to pieces” after her cat was found up a tree five days after she reported it missing.

Sheila Benson, of Red Road, Borehamwood, was distraught when her Pedigree moggy, Snowy, disappeared from her home last Saturday morning.

She believed a cat-napper was at large after finding out her neighbour’s Pedigree tabby kitten, Freddie, had vanished on the same day.

But today a tree surgeon spotted one-year-old Snowy up a tree in Red Road.

Mrs Benson, who runs a property management company from home, said: “We couldn’t believe it. I’ve never seen Snowy climb anything before – I think he was frightened."

Mrs Benson had alerted the police to the potential theft, claiming Snowy’s disappearance was “out of character”.

She said: "I still think he could have been taken and ran away and got frightened because my neighbour's kitten is still missing."

“He’s lost weight but he’s okay. We’re delighted he’s back – we're thrilled to pieces.”

I love, cant say you were wrong and that your daft fat cat got stuck up stuck in a tree, there is no possible explanation other than a cruella de vil type person attempted to steal old tubby cat and it somehow managed to escape and haul it's lardy self into the safety of a tree! Or maybe it just got stuck in a tree?

That is a bit harsh, but you know how hysterical the residents of red road can get.

HAHAHA!! I cannot stop laughing about that prediction being spot on!

Glad to hear the animal was ok, but totally agree on the typical 'Red Road' type response... 'It must be criminals from those horrible estates!
