County councillor donates £100 to counselling charity
A Borehamwood county councillor has donated £100 to a charity which provides counselling services for young people.
County councillor Alan Plancey, of Borehamwood North, has given £100 of his locality budget to Signpost.
The charity provides counselling for people aged 11 to 25 in Watford, Three Rivers and Hertsmere.
The money will be used to pay for new equipment including art therapy materials, lamps and pictures.
A total of £10,000 is available to each of the 77 members of Hertfordshire County Council to spend on community projects in their area.
These locality budgets were launched in July 2009.
