Crime in Borehamwood drops by 15 per cent
New figures show that crime in Borehamwood has dropped in the last year.
The statistics, revealed at the Borehamwood and Elstree Community Safety Partnership meeting last night, show crime in the town has gone down by 15 per cent.
This includes shoplifting, burglary and fuel theft.
Motor theft has also dropped by a staggering 50 per cent.
Speaking at last night’s meeting at Hertsmere Borough Officers, in Elstree Way, Sergeant Sally Phillips said these figures are “promising.”
She added: “Everyone was concerned that we would have a spike in crime during the Olympics, so these figures show we are on the right track.”
In Hertsmere as a whole, crime has also dropped by 14 per cent.
