Flowers flourished at Vision Hall, in Radlett on Saturday for the village’s annual Autumn Show.
Crowds of people gathered to admire 407 exhibits of flowers, produce, domestics and photography, created by members of Radlett Horticultural Society.
Peter Cushion, society secretary, said: "Despite the battle with this summer’s extraordinary weather, members of this thriving society came up trumps with 407 high quality exhibits.
"There may have been few apples and no pears, but there were lots of vegetables and good entries in domestics and photography and the new class "the Chairman’s Pair" of flowers and vegetables
"Entries in the children’s classes were as imaginative as ever.
"Well over 200 visitors who attended marvelled at the quality of produce."
Cups and prizes were handed out at the end of proceedings to winning entrants.
Peter Breward, show secretary, added he was relieved and delighted that the show was well up to the usual standard.
