Hundreds of budding football players took part in a girl’s tournament at a festival in Borehamwood yesterday afternoon.
The event, held at Boreham Wood FC’s training ground in Meadow Park, saw around 160 girls of all different sporting abilities play a match against the Arsenal FC ladies players Kim Little, Ellen White, Jordan Nobbs and Steph Houghton.
Girls also had their photos snapped with the team, as well as taking part in sports competitions and having their faces painted.
The festival followed a football match played by Arsenal FC v Bristol Academy, where they drew 1-1.
