Yavneh College is celebrating “outstanding” results after students picked up their GCSE results this morning.
For many 16-year-olds, the grades determine which three or four subjects they can carry on studying to AS-level and eventually, A-level.
Helena Raymond-Hayling, 16, achieved an exceptional result after achieving A stars in her 12 chosen subjects.
Fifty per cent of all grades students achieved with A star or A, with 94 per cent of students receiving at least five grades at A star to C.
Head teacher Dr Dena Coleman, said: “This record breaking set of results has been achieved by excellent teaching at the school, coupled by the hard work by the pupils.
“I am delighted that these results mean that we are ranked as one of the top-performing schools in the whole country.”
