Tenancy cheats kicked out of Affinity Sutton housing after joint investigation with Hertsmere Borough Council
1:00pm Tuesday 14th August 2012 in News By Anna Slater
Tenancy cheats have been kicked out of housing after illegally subletting their flats.
The five fraudsters had their contracts with housing association Affinity Sutton annulled, after a joint investigation with Hertsmere Borough Council that began late last year.
The properties have now been made available for others in need of housing.
Richard Bellis, head of supported housing for Affinity Sutton, said the company takes tenancy fraud “very seriously.”
He added: “We provide affordable housing for some of the most vulnerable people in our society, so when someone abuses this provision we take it very seriously.”

The point is, it is refreshing to see criminals brought to justice, as for who the homes go to. Homeless people are homeless people. If they are members of the EU then the local authority has no choice than to take all their needs into consideration and to offer homes to the most needy.
Why are so many people so synical and ready to criticise? When we are all guilty of making mistakes, yet some people are blind to their own.
Do something positive like volunteer in your local community, help the people around you - stop looking for their faults.

I shall tell you why people are quick to criticise. It's because we can't secure jobs in journalism as we have no relevant experience. We do however possess excellent spelling, grammar and presentational skills together with the ability to deliver interesting articles. We find submissions in these newspapers that frankly are sub-standard, do not inform of the full facts and lack depth. That is why we comment and the standard of writing from local journalists has deteriorated rapidly recently. We are drawing it their attention that's all.

Presentation skills not presentational skills.
Missing word in last sentence.
You are a prime candidate for a journalistic position with the Borehamwood Times!

Agreed, this person has terrible writing skills; I have regularly seen grammar, spelling and punctuation mistakes from Anna and Bruce. A little care goes along way. Check before you post….easy.
studio 70 - perhaps you should have checked your penultimate sentence before posting this!

No one has been 'kicked out' of anything. The word you are looking for is evicted.
Another piece of work submitted before being proof read. Becoming a bit of a habit isn't it.
