Changes to school runs across the county are set to get underway at the start of the school year.
One hundred routes will be running to schools from September, without financial subsidy from the Hertfordshire County Council, meaning more children will be entitled to free home to school transport.
Over the last 18 months, the county council has worked to maintain as many bus routes as possible for children getting to and from school.
New plans will help to save between £5 million to £6 million from the council’s £25 million annual school transport budge, which applies to all families, regardless of where their child attends school.
