Dog owners can sign up to a new doggy detective scheme today.
The Dog Watch project, spearheaded by PCSO Sophie Watson, will see people walking their pooches be the “eyes and ears” of the community and report any suspicious activity.
To sign up to the programme, sponsored by Hertsmere Community Safety Trust, visit Aberford Park between 2pm to 4pm this afternoon.
Anyone who participates will receive a free Dalmatian toy rape style alarm, dog poop bag and UV security marking pen.
