Not completely shut this morning: could still access up to Hillside and across from Milton to Arundel. Not sure how long that will be, though. They will have to provide some way for residents to the West of Furzehill to get in and out.

I live on the corner of Milton & Furzehill, the only way for me to get anywhere is to go via Shakespeare Drive and right round the back roads, which is fine if I need to get into Borehamwood itself but if I'm trying to go anywhere else it means a huge detour. And if they do shut it as far down as Brownlow Road I'll have no way to get anywhere at all as there wont be anyway out. I don't see why they need to shut the whole road off in one go when they only seem to be working on a small part of it at a time.

My neighbours and i were not impressed when they moved their great big heavy lorries and other monstrous vehicles down Farriers Way at 3.20AM this morning, with loud reversing bleeps going on and road cones being loudly dumped on the road. I had to go out in my 'night attire' (and a coat on! lol) to have words with one of the workforce. Any more shanigans like that and i shall be making a formal complaint! Especially if they weren't starting till 9.30am!

Not amused!!!!

There is/was a way out to Furzehill and then Cranes Way/Arundel when I drove by earlier, and traffic seemed to be able to get to Barnet Lane. I guess it is being changed around as and when necessary. Certainly the signing is not very helpful.

Wish they would make up their minds: Furzehill Road completely open today, Friday. Top surface has been removed from Hillside to Arundel (I think).
