Rotarians have appointed their new president for the year ahead.

Reverend Richard Leslie, of St Michael’s Church, in Brook Road, Borehamwood, was sworn in as president of the Rotary Club of Elstree and Borehamwood on Thursday.

At the new meeting venue of Arkley Golf Club, in Rowley Green Road, Mr Leslie took over from Paul Clark, who came to the end of his third term as president.

Reverend Leslie entered the banking world and trained for the ministry of the Church of England later in life.

The club has moved from its old meeting place at the Premier Inn, in Warwick Road, Borehamwood, due to an increase in membership over the last four years.
