People enjoyed a flower show and emergency services open day yesterday as the Elstree and Borehamwood Civic festival reaches the halfway point.
On display at All Saints Church Hall, in Shenley Road Borehamwood was the Festival Flower show which featured displays from a number of community groups in the area.
Families also enjoyed an open day at the emergency services buildings in Elstree way, giving them the chance to see behind the scenes of police, fire and ambulance services.
There were displays from firefighters demonstrating what to do in major incidents including a road collision and how they can rescue someone from a burning building.
