A man from Borehamwood has been sentenced to four years imprisonment for grievous bodily harm after assaulting a woman and breaking her eye socket.

Khan Barrow, 25, of St Neots Close, Borehamwood was sentenced at Wood Green Crown Court on January 20.

Barrow was found guilty of grievous bodily harm and possession, after he had already pleaded guilty to intent to supply a class A drug and was sentenced two years for each count.

The GBH took place on the early hours of Sunday August 14 2011, in Barnet, when the victim attended the address of Barrow’s girlfriend.

During a disagreement Barrow struck the victim, who fell to the ground, and he then continued to kick her as she lay there causing a fracture to the left eye socket, bleeding and swelling so severe that her left eye was completely closed.

When officers went to arrest Barrow he fought police and denied that he assaulted the victim by kicking her.
