The annual budget of Hertsmere Borough Council was passed onto the next stage of approval last night.
At a joint meeting of the Overview and Performance and Scrutiny Committees at the Civic Offices, in Borehamwood, councillors passed the proposed budget for 2012/2013.
The budget will now go on to the council Executive on February 8 for recommendation to Council, after which it will then be put before Full Council on February 22 for approval.
As previously reported, in this year’s budget there will be no rise in council tax and it was also announced Hertsmere Citizens Advice Bureau will receive £37,000 to pay for a debt advisor.
