BLUE BADGE fraudsters were caught as part of an operation in Wembley this week.
Twenty-five people had their blue badges seized and were given a £60 penalty charge notice on Wednesday.
Officers from Alperton and Wembley Central Safer Neighbourhoods team working with Brent Council carried out the operation in St John’s Road, London Road, Cecil Road and Ealing Road.
Simon Lane, head of audit and investigations at Brent Council, said this was the highest number of badges seized in one operation since March this year.
He added: “Abuse of the scheme is selfish and deprives genuine users of the ability to access shops and other facilities.”
