A YOUNG man needed hospital treatment after he was assaulted in Rossington Avenue on Sunday morning.

Police were called at around 1.45am and found the victim, thought to be in his early twenties, with a serious head injury.

The man was taken to Barnet General Hospital for treatment and later transferred to the Royal Free Hospital, in Hampstead.

Police are appealing to anyone with information to call the non-emergency number 101.

Two people have been arrested in connection with the incident and have been bailed pending further enquires.

A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of GBH and a 19-year-old woman, from Borehamwood, was arrested on suspicion of obstructing a police officer.
