AN Islamic exhibition will be held in Borehamwood this Sunday to educate residents about the religion’s history and culture.

Members of the Muslim Community Centre, based at the Brookside Boys Club, in Buckton Road, will be holding the event at St Michael’s and All Angels vicarage hall, in Brook Road.

The event will focus on art, culture and science related to the religion and aims to discuss Islamophobia.

The exhibition will include work on the Prophet Muhammed, the Quran, the status of women in the religion and the family.

The group will have a representative to answer questions from the public and will be exhibiting large photographs of two holy shrines from Mecca and Medina.

The event will be held between 3 and 6pm. Refreshments and food will be provided during the event and free henna hand painting will be available.
