First 3D cinema projector comes to Borehamwood

FILMS will take on a new dimension from Saturday with Borehamwood's first 3D cinema screening.

Four engineers are currently working in the Reel Cinema, 84 Shenley Road, to install a new digital Dolby projector, which cost over £100,000 and was paid for by the company.

The first 3D showing will be of Streetdance, the first ever 3D dance movie, which stars Dance group Flawless and Britain's Got Talent winners Diversity.

Chief projectionist and film scheduler for the Reel cinema network, John Wild, said: "This is news for Borehamwood, as before if you wanted to see a 3D film you had to go miles and miles into London. We've been trying to get this for a year. I think everybody is pretty excited about it."

The cinema, which was fully refurbished last year, is offering ten pairs of tickets to this Saturday's showing at 6.10pm.

To win, answer this question: What is the highest grossing film of all time? Email answers, with your full name and address, to borehamwood@reelcinemas.co.uk. The first ten correct entrants will be contacted, and asked to pick up their tickets from the box office on the night. Identification will be required.
