Ranelagh Harriers dominated the 7.5-mile women's race at the South of the Thames Championship on Wimbledon Common.

Sarah Seal was an easy winner in 49 minutes 46 seconds. She led from the start and had extended her 40-second first lap lead to more than a minute over clubmate Marie Synott-Wells and Herne Hill's Becky Hogwood-McNicholas by the end of the second.

Synott Wells (51:18) finished three seconds ahead of Hogwood-McNicholas.

Other members of the winning Ranelagh team were Anne McLaughlin seventh (54:13), Sandra Foot 18th (1:03:13), Michelle Gibson 19th (1:03:22) and Louise Piears 22nd (1:05:58). Stragglers' Chris Glew was second veteran over 45 (1:05:22).

Ranelagh finishers in the South of Thames Men's Championships at Wimbledon Common on Saturday were: 17 Paul Doyle 43:24, 65 Andy Bickerstaff 48:42, 70 Andrew McLaughlan 49:18, 75 Neil Walford 50:10, 79 Gareth Davies 50:41, 83 Graham Quick.

Kingston & Polytechnic veteran Ant Budarkiewicz was 30th (45:10), Thames Hare & Hounds' Mark Gilbertson 31st (45:13) and Stragglers' Roy Reeder 34th (45:21).

Tiffin Boys School runners were among the prizes in the Holly Run races in Priory Park, Reigate, on Sunday.

James Ayres, 15, was third in the U17 race in 19 minutes three seconds, with Michael Joslin fifth (19:37), helping the Kingston school to second place behind Oxted School.

Fourth-placed Tim Sagar (19:07) led Tiffin to third in the U15 team event behind Woking AC and Oxted School.

Tiffin were also third in the boys' U13 race.

Tiffin's Andrew Gardener ninth (13:21), with Jonny Miller 11th (13:24), Laven Sivarajah 15th (13:46) and Ciaran Costello 16th (13:48).

FESTIVE RUNS: Ranelagh Harriers have their traditional Boxing Day run on Sunday from their Petersham headquarters (11am). On Monday, teams of three runners of mixed ability will take part in their Henty Relay, also in Richmond Park (2.30pm).

RUN OFF THE TURKEY: Stragglers are planning a Boxing Day four mile run from the Cabbage Patch, Twickenham, on Sunday.
