Sir Michael's Harry Brown comes to cinemas

ACTING legend Sir Michael Caine's latest film, which was shot at Elstree Studios, is released at cinemas nationwide today.

There was excitement back in February this year when it emerged that Sir Michael had returned to the famous film studios to star in Harry Brown, the story of a vigilante pensioner who sets about exacting revenge on a group of thugs who murder his best friend.

The Alfie star was in Borehamwood last year to film Is There Anybody There?, and returned earlier this year for his new movie, which is directed by Daniel Barber in his debut picture.

The movie, billed as a urban Western which takes a look at the reality of youth crime in the UK, premiered last night in Leicester Square.

Sir Michael, 76, was joined on the red carpet by stars including new Heavyweight Boxing champion David Haye, actress Gemma Arterton, and Emily Mortimer, who co-stars in the film.
