AN Elstree school has donated almost £2,000 to a charity which helps children with serious illnesses.
Pupils from Strouts House at Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School raised £1,900 last year and have donated it to the Rays of Sunshine Charity.
The cash was raised through a wide variety of activities in and out of the school, in Butterfly Lane, and was handed over to charity representative Hayley Allen on Friday, November 6.
She told pupils the money will be used to grant the wish of a seven-year-old boy called Joshua, who is living with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
Joshua is a big Star Wars , and Rays of Sunshine are going to get him the life size R2-D2 DVD projector he has dreamed of.
