Wannabe romantics desperate for Valentine’s Day inspiration may find their answer at Radlett Library next week.
Former Hertfordshire Libraries head of operations Melanie Hilton, 59, will be speaking to residents about love and relationships – using her alter-ego expertise as award-winning Mills & Boon novelist Louise Allen.
Ms Allen has penned 30 historical romances and will give tips about writing and getting a book published to budding authors.
She said: "It will be funny going back to a Hertfordshire library again, and I'm very much looking forward to the event."
Hertfordshire County Councillor Keith Emsall, cabinet member for education and culture, said: "Louise has enjoyed great success as a writer and this talk will be a real treat for fans of romance novels."
The talk begins at 7pm on Thursday, February 12. Tickets are £2.00 and can be booked in advance at the library. For more details contact the Library Service on 01923 471333 or 01438 737333.
