The train service catering for residents of Borehamwood and Radlett received a good performance record for arrival times and service cancellations according to figures released this week.
Nearly 94 per cent of the First Capital Connect trains from Bedford to Brighton, which pass through Borehamwood and Radlett stations, arrived on time or within five minutes of the expected arrival at their destination between August 17 and September 13.
Services that were cancelled in the same period totalled 1.4 per cent compared to 1.7 per cent in March this year.
Elaine Holt, managing director at First Capital Connect, said: “This fantastic result is the culmination of a lot of hard work and effort by all First Capital Connect staff. Network Rail has been superb in making this happen. We must continue to improve and push the performance of our trains even higher.”
