Proposals for a new bike track in Radlett will be discussed at a consultation evening hosted by Aldenham Parish Council next month.
The council is considering whether it should lease part of the King George V Playing Fields, in Cobden Hill, known as The Picnic Field, for a project by instructors Bikers on Track, which could see a cycle and motorcycle track built as a place to teach people how to ride safely and maintain their bikes.
If approved, it is proposed the facility would only be open to members and will be under supervision.
The consultation evening will be held at the Tabard Rugby Club clubhouse on Thursday, September 11, starting at 7.30pm and will include a demonstration on the field and a question and answer section.
There will also be an introduction by the chairman of Aldenham Parish Council, a speech by a representative from Bikers on Track and an independent view of the project by the Auto Cycle Union.
Anyone wanting to attend should call council clerk, Peter Evans, on 01923 856433.
