A 50-year-old man was robbed and stabbed while walking on Christmas day.
The Addiscombe resident was approached by a man wielding a six-inch blade on Lower Addiscombe Road at 10.50pm.
The robber demanded the resident hand over cash and the bag he was carrying before stabbing him in the hand and grabbing his carrier bag full of clothes.
The injured man was taken to Mayday hospital where he received three stitches in his hand.
The attack happened 50 yards from the junction of Grant Road and the robber, who was described as a 30-year-old 6ft tall, white man, was seen fleeing towards flats in Grant Road.
