A cancer charity is asking swimmers to don their hats and goggles to help raise money.
Swimathon 2008 will raise money for the Hertfordshire Marie Curie Cancer Care Nursing service. The Venue, in Elstree Way, Borehamwood, will hold events between April 17 and 20.The Swimathon offers a range of challenges to suit all swimmers depending on age and ability. You can swim as part of a team by joining a distance challenge group or by swimming a distance of your choice in the SimplySwim Challenge.A Marie Curie spokeswoman said: "Money raised will help fund the work of more than 44 Marie Curie nurses in Hertfordshire and will mean that more terminally ill people can have the choice to die at home.Marie Curie nurses provide free end of life care allowing people to die at home surrounded by family and friends."Call Rachel Sullivan at The Venue on 020 8386 9886 for more details, or log on to swimathon.org
