Give your views on disability provisions

11:36am Wednesday 2nd January 2008

Hertsmere residents are being consulted about the services Hertfordshire County Council provides for people with physical disabilities.

The council has devised new strategies to give people greater choice over the care they receive, and is now asking for feedback.

Sally Newton, executive member for adult care and health, said: "The response has been fantastic since we launched the consultation on October 15, but there is still time for anyone who hasn't had their say to get in touch.

"We want to hear the thoughts of as many people as possible before the consultation ends. It will help us develop our services to give people more choices and opportunities to improve their quality of life and live as independently as possible."

The authority specifically wants to hear from young people, aged between 14 and 25, as well as others with disabilities or sensory needs.

Responses can be completed online before January 11 at www.hertsdirect.org/acsconsultations.
