Homeowners continue to experience problems with their water supply and now more people are affected too.

Over the weekend, neighbours living in Shenley and Borehamwood complained of very low water pressure or no water at all following two burst water mains.

Though some repairs have been made by Affinity Water, the company has now confirmed that it is dealing with problems in Radlett and Watford.

And it is warning people to only use water when they have to and avoid using electrical appliances such as dishwashers and washing machines.

A burst water main has been fixed at South Medburn Farm near Watling Street but a large number of properties in Shenley, Borehamwood, and Ridge are likely to experience low pressure water. It is envisaged full service will return by Thursday.

While a burst water main in Newlands Avenue in Radlett has caused further concern for Affinity Water and there are also reports of water supply problems in the WD5 and WD25 postcode areas of Watford.

Burst water mains in Theobald Street and Cowley Hill in Borehamwood appear to have been fixed as well as one in St Peter’s Street in St Albans.

Full list of roads affected can be found in Radlett here and in Borehamwood & Shenley here.

Affinity Water has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
