A school has restored its memorial garden with help from a dentistry practice.

Monksmead Primary School in Borehamwood tidied up the area and were assisted by Gingerbread House dental practice as part of Bupa’s Caring Week.

The garden had become overgrown and unkempt but is back to its former glory thank to the dental team.

Renee Gladwell, from the Gingerbread House, said: “It was fantastic for the team at Gingerbread House to give back to the local community. The garden is a special place within the school and we are glad that our work has helped bring it back to his best.”

The garden is a place of peace, quiet and reflection for pupils and is dedicated to a well-loved member of staff who passed away some years ago.

Suzanne Curtis, Assistant Headteacher at Monksmead, said: “We as a school want to say we appreciate the work you did in our memorial garden.

“We know that you worked really hard and spent all morning to make it picture perfect. We would like to say a big thank you from all of us at Monksmead for all your work.”
