A care home held a fun day for residents, staff and families.
Bupa Hill House Care Home in Elstree, as well as five other Bupa Homes in the area held events such as a rounders competition and a raffle for a local charity.
The fun day, which took place on Thursday, June 7, also included two Generation Games with the prizes handed out by Deputy Mayor of Hertfordshire County Council, Terry Douris.
The rounder competition saw the ‘Hill House’ team face off against the ‘Bupa Blue’ team. The battle had a twist, however, as participants were forced to dress up in hospital gowns at each post. In the end, though, the ‘Bupa Blue’ team were victorious.
A raffle was also held for the ‘Barbara Bus Foundation’ charity. The foundation is used by all the homes in the area and are supplied from the Royal National Orthopaedic hospital in Stanmore.
The day concluded with lovely weather and a BBQ, a fitting end for a wonderful community occasion.
