What to eat

The go-to party food for any royal event is of course the old classics. Cucumber sandwiches, Victoria sponge cake, Pimms and lemonade, cocktail sausages, cheese and pineapple on sticks and pork pies are the order of the day. It has been the staple diet of British party goers for decades and will be sure to satisfy your guests.

What to wear

The weather forecast for the wedding day is looking promising; approximately 20 degrees, sunshine and no mention of the dreaded drizzle. It’s not quite a heatwave prediction but this is England, so you never know. Be sure to have plenty of Harry and Meghan masks for your party goers, whatever the weather.

What to discuss?

The new royal generation are keen talkers and excellent listeners, so follow in their lead with your party conversation. Plenty of smiling and hand shaking is of course required but remember to pause for photo opportunities.

How to decorate?

Bunting is essential, as are union jack flags on just about anything. Deck chairs and folding picnic tables are also an absolute must.

Clearing up

Try to encourage your guests to recycle as much as possible during and after the event. Make life easier with signposted ‘paper’, ‘plastic’ and ‘glass’ bins to make the post party clear up quicker and easier.
