A fly tipper has pleaded guilty to dumping more than 30 bags of building waste.

Samuel Boca, 23, of Brangrove Road, Edgware, dumped rubbish including carpet, furniture board cut offs, and other waste, at sites in Hilfield Lane South in Bushey and Bridleway 71 in Radlett.

Boca, who is a licensed waste carrier, posed as someone from a recycling firm in Cheshire, when he took waste from an address in Finchley.

He left the person a receipt which contained a false name and telephone number.

He was caught on camera in a Peugeot van with the name of a German company on the side.

The case was brought to Hertsmere Borough Council after officers spotted his vehicle in Borehamwood while he was collecting scrap metal.

Boca pleaded guilty to eight charges at St Albans Magistrates Court on Wednesday. Two relate to fly tipping while six are duty of care offences.

The case has been adjourned until June 8 where Boca will be sentenced.
