A tree has fallen, blocking a busy route in and out of an academy.
The tree fell victim to the storm overnight in Potters Lane, Borehamwood.
The tree has blocked the entire road, leaving drivers to find alternative routes.
Motorists warned off delays on surrounding roads, including Studio Way, while parents struggled to drop off children at Hertswood Academy.
It's likely to cause the same problems during the afternoon school run.
The tree has yet to be recovered but Hertfordshire County Council tweeted that they have been out "dealing with the storm damage since 4am this morning".
They tweeted further: "We have been very busy since 4am clearing and dealing with the aftermath. The majority are fallen trees and branches which have caused disruption throughout the morning across the entire network."
Update: the tree has now been recovered
