An exhibition will take place to recognise Borehamwood's achievements in the community in 2017.

The free exhibition, 'A Year in Photos', which is being hosted by the town council, will take place on Saturday January 13 from 10.30am-1pm at All Saints Church on Shenley Road.

More than 20 organisations will be taking part in the display including Borehamwood Foodbank, Mencap, Writers in the Wood, Elstree and Borehamwood Rotary Club, Aldenham Country Park, and Sullivan Buses.

Volunteers will represent their work through a variety of creative ways including photos, paintings, drawings, street dance, flower arranging, creative writing, and music.

The exhibition which is a monthly event first began in September 2016 but this month's celebrates a year's worth of voluntary work.

Town councillor Pat Strack said: "This is a reflection of the great work all of our town's organisations have done. It is also a great time to learn about all the volunteering opportunities we have."
