Christmas lights will be switched on this Sunday.
People can take part in a host of festive activity fun before the Christmas tree lights up outside All Saints Church on Shenley Road.
There will be a free ice skating rink as well as stalls and food and Santa will making an appearance too at his grotto.
The switch on will be at 4.30pm with activities kicking off at midday.
This year across the town, there will be three more Christmas trees - in Leeming Road, Manor Way, and in Elstree Village.
The extra trees were made possible after three councillors; Caroline Clapper, Susan Brown, and Alan Plancey, dipped into their locality budget to donate £300 each.
