A dog salon is looking to give Halloween a bit more bite this weekend.

Paws for Thought grooming salon at Battlers Green Farm in Radlett will be celebrating their spooky spectacular on Saturday, October 28 between 10am and 3pm.

Children and their pup counterparts will be able to chase thrills as part of the witch hunt across the farm’s fields.

There will be time to release the hounds with an agility course and see if any canines can score a ghoulish goal in treibball (football for dogs).

Prizes will be awarded for the best costume (in both human and dog categories) and a pet photographer will be on hand to capture any haunting incidents on camera.

On top of this, a raffle will be held in aid of the National Animal Welfare Trust, awarding a bottle of Bollinger as the top prize, and lots of doggie bags for runners-up.

The posh pooch boutique opened in July this year, and go beyond the usual grooming salon with a shop full of pet paraphernalia and timetable of classes for owners to exercise with their owners.

The site also runs yoga classes where owners can work with their pets to create different poses, as well as mutt massages and canine first aid.

Nicola Graham-Light said: “We are not your typical dog-grooming company.

“We want to create a whole experience for pets and their parents, and we have been really well received in the area.

“We look forward to welcoming guests on Saturday, so that more people can see what we are all about.”
