AN estate agents has helped secure a hospice's future by sponsoring a new van.

Mullucks Wells paid for the graphics on St Clare Hospice's new van, which will travel up and down east London and Essex.

The Hastingwood based charity says the new van will pick up donations and make deliveries to the hospice's eight shops.

St Clare Hospice’s head of retail, Fiona Eaton, said: “We are delighted to have our new van on the road and are extremely grateful to Mullucks Wells for their sponsorship.

"The van travels up and down West Essex and East Herts – from Saffron Walden, Thaxted and Dunmow in the north of our patch, to Bishop’s Stortford, Epping, Loughton and Buckhurst Hill in the south.

"Donations of furniture are an absolutely vital source of income for St Clare, and our new van and online booking facility will make it easier than ever before to donate your quality items of furniture to us.”

Managing Director of Mullucks Wells, Richard Roberts, said: “Mullucks Wells are really happy to sponsor the new graphics on the St Clare van and we are proud to support the work of our local hospice charity.

"It is fantastic that St Clare is able to offer a free furniture collection service with their new van and we hope the sale of donated furniture will contribute a healthy profit for the hospice.”

St Clare is particularly looking to receive donations of: sofas and armchairs; dining tables and chairs; occasional tables and quality bookcases; wardrobes, dressing tables and chests of drawers; and divans with mattresses.
