Hard hats and hi-vis were donned as children took a tour on a work site.
As part of an ongoing partnership with the RAF Centenary Programme, children from Colindale Primary School put on hard hats and hi-vis jackets to learn about safety on the building site at the RAF Museum in Grahame Park Way, Colindale, as the museum undergoes at multi-million pound transformation.
Sarah Castle, Learning Partnerships Manager: "We really value our relationship with Colindale Primary School and it was a pleasure to invite Year One to the Museum to learn about safety.
"The RAF Centenary is going to be a once in a lifetime event, so it’s wonderful to be able to share experiences like this with the younger generation."
Around 90 children in Year One learnt five points of personal safety, how to spot safety hazards and how to recognise a digger.
The museum is undergoing renovations to open in 2018, which will include a new visitor centre and green spaces, along with regenerated facilities.
