Shoppers danced in the streets as a new store arrived in High Barnet.
H&M, the clothing chain, opened its newest store in The Spires Shopping Centre, High Barnet, to the sound of a DJ playing chart-toppers and the sight of a queue of hundreds of shoppers.
Despite some confusion over goody bags and discounts, the people were overjoyed to see the newly renovated store open and receive their opening day discount of 25 percent off.
Store manager Rafael said there were far more people than expected, so many in fact, that they ran out of goody bags and had to create a second queue.
The store comes as part of the regeneration of The Spires Shopping Centre, which has recently been renovated, repaved and rejuvenated with new restaurants, with more in store.
