Thieves smashed through display cabinets and stole phones from a shop in a retail park.

On August 23 between 3.05 and 3.10pm, three people smashed display cabinets and stole phones from Carphone Warehouse in the retail park in Borehamwood.

The group then made off towards Shenley Road, and have been described as three men aged between 18 and 30 years of age.

DC Robert Wood, from the Hertsmere Local Crime Unit, said: "Thankfully no-one was harmed during this incident but the shop staff were understandably frightened during the incident.

"The offenders behaved in an aggressive manner and ordered the staff to stay still and not move while they removed the mobile phones.

"This robbery happened in the middle of the afternoon at a busy retail park so I’m sure that members of the public will have witnessed the incident or may have seen the offenders making off from the scene."

According to Herts Police, the one man was described as having short hair and wearing a grey top, black jogging bottoms and black trainers, the second was described as wearing a grey top with a dark body warmer, black trousers and dark trainers and the third was described as wearing a dark coloured body warmer with a grey sleeved top underneath.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact DC Wood on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting crime reference J1/17/3568.
